Participation Support Services Stedman House Renovation
On January 9th, 2019 the Rotary Club of Brantford, Sunrise pledged $125,000 to fund Participation Support Services capital equipment purchases to make the Stedman House a permanent home for 8 individuals with physical disabilities.
“The Stedman House is a perfect, comfortable small home that suits the needs of individuals who require Supportive Housing. Participation Support Services is delighted to have entered into a partnership with St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre and the Rotary Club of Brantford – Sunrise to make it a home for 8 individuals’” says Sherry Kerr, Executive Director of Participation Support Services.”
“The Rotary Club of Brantford – Sunrise reviewed 10 proposals from organizations in Brantford and Brant County, then met with 5 of the proponents. All proposals were exceptionally well done and showed our members how many legitimate needs there are to fill in our community. The proposal from Participation Support Services was deemed the best of the 10. Our Major Projects Committee felt it merged nicely with the mandates, goals and values of our Club and of Rotary International. We look forward to our new partnership with Participation Support Services and St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre”. Phil Race, Sunrise President
