Brant Aero was founded in 1972 as an aircraft maintenance company by James T. Field, known to his colleagues and customers alike as Terry. Terry chose Brantford as the company’s base of operations for a compelling reason: it is right in the heart of a world-class economic zone. His father, James H. Field, and his brothers, Pat and Bud Field, soon joined him, adding avionics sales and service to Brant Aero’s capabilities.
In 1986 Brant Aero relocated to its present facility at Brantford Airport—CYFD.
Today, Brant Aero offers one-stop service for almost every GA aircraft type and avionics manufacturer. The leader, Blaine Field, Terry’s son goes to work every day to build on the legacy of family who preceded him.
